SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it is alarmed about the substantial number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services level developed for intervention activities a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who go to a read more service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all website prospects and raise use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
